SUKURITY...This girl was trying to fight me!!

This is Jessy Smith, Maci Manning, and me at Cafe Du Monde!!!
Tripp and I at Cafe Du Monde!

This is Saturday night on Bourbon!

Tripp and I went to New Orleans for some of our great friends wedding! (CONGRATULATIONS Chad and Tytti!) The weekend began on Friday morning when I took Emma to meet Gigi and Pops in Scooba for the weekend. Then Tripp and I were off! We rode down with our friends Smitty and Jessy...and boy did we have fun! We cut up and told stories the whole ride! We finally made it to NO about 5 on Friday evening and Smitty and Jessy had to go to the rehersal/dinner. Tripp and I checked in and then it was time to hit Bourbon. We found a fun little place to eat and enjoyed shrimp po-boys together. Next we walked down and pulled up a table on the front row of Pat O'Briens piano bar! We sang and sipped and sang some more. Smitty and Jessy called us and said that they were almost finished with all the wedding festivities planned for that night so Tripp and I walked back to the hotel to freshen up and catch our second wind. By this time it was about 10:30-11 we caught up with everyone from the wedding party and hit bourbon again...this time settling in the Urban Cowboy (a country bar with a mechanical bull) We had so much fun watching intoxicated professional bull riders. We laughed all night (we also tried to be professionals ourselves). We made it back to the hotel by about 2:30-3 exhausted! Saturday we had a full day of beingets and shopping! The wedding was at 5:30 and BEAUTIFUL! Next it was on to the reception at the House of Broel (a beautiful antibellum home in the heart of NO) Everything was so beautiful and elegent with New Orleans style and traditions! It was a fun time had by all! After the reception everyone wanted to change and get a little more comfortable..which we did...and hit Bourbon again...which we did! This time we had a bigger crowd and a lot more fun! We drank and danced....and drank some more! Finally we found our way back to the hotel, but not before a stop at the all famous Krystal (Welcome to King Krystal, where we do it your way...BUT don't get CRAZY!!!) After clogging a few more arteries...we hit the bed...Now we are home talking about how much fun we had!

Emma on the other hand had just as much fun as we did with Gigi and Pops. (I have to get pictures from mom) They picked up pecans and played with play dough and many other things. The key note to the weekend was Carl GRADUATED!! Congratulations Carl! YAY....after 6 years...11 months...29 days...and 23 hours...You did it and we are so proud of you!!! PS...Happy Birthday!!
No promises but when I get pictures I will post!!

Chemo Kick-Off

Our great friend Gail is starting Chemo (for the second time) and we threw a party for her last week...we called it her Chemo Kick-off!! We made shirts for it and Kick Ass cards (litterally-thanks Amberlie) She has the best spirit of anyone I know...and we know she will do just great! (We keep trying to get her to just hook up to a bag of margarita and see how much fun she would have!)

YES, Amberlie posed for the picture of her ass and the card says...Go Gail, Go Kick Cancer's Ass

Here are some pictures of Emma in her costume (a dragonfly). She got to wear it twice since last weekend we had the church carnival and this weekend we went trick or treating. She really had so much fun watching all the other kids and seeing their costumes...Enjoy...

Also here are some pictures of Emma and I carving our pumpkin...she had fun pulling seeds out of the inside!!

Thanks Aunt Lynn!!!

I cleaned out Emma's closet tonight to try and make room for some more of her summer clothes and I had run to the kitchen to get something when I came back and found this....Emma had gotten into her closet and found these and of course we had to put them on...(Aunt Lynn gave her these) We can't wait until next time we see y'all...we have so much to share!!! Muchas Grasseass!!!

Punkin' Chunkin!!

WOW!! What a day! Tripp, Emma, and I went out to the Lazy Acre Pumpkin Patch...in Chunky Mississippi!! We had so much fun...we participated in the punkin' chunkin', we rode the hay ride, watched the pig race, we completed the corn maze (which was in the shape of a horse...see below), we picked out the best pumpkin there, and we made it through the hay maze. It was such a fun day. Emma had a blast and loved the pumpkins!! I hope you enjoy the pictures below!! I know there are a lot of them!

Poor Emma!!

Well this past weekend Emma started being really fussy, she was drooling EVERYWHERE and had bright red swollen gums, so Tripp and I thought the obvious she MUST be teething. Saturday she had a fever of 102 so we gave her a little tylenol and some orajel in hopes this would sooth her pain. Well Sunday came and she was ill as a hornet...so Monday I kept her home. That night she was still not any better and her gums had started to bleed. It was pitiful. Well Tripp called our doctor that night at home and told her everything that was going on and she said it sounds like either an infection or hand, foot, and mouth disease but that there was nothing other that tylenol and time that would heal it. So Monday night Emma might have slept 2 hours...she was just rolling around crying....one minute she wanted to be held and then she would wrigle down and just roll...she couldn't get comfortable. Yesterday when Emma woke up from her nap there was blood all down the front of her shirt...(and after I had researched Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease and ruled it out) I took her in to the doctor just to have her look at it. Well any of you that know me....will know for a fact that this is my daughter....Emma has fever blisters all in her mouth. They are everywhere and just showed up yesterday on the outside of her mouth. Lara (our doctor) said there was not much more we could do for her just to be sure and keep her hydrated. Also we can create a mixture of benadryl and maylox to rub on her gums to sooth the pain there. Last night she slept the whole night and seems to be feeling better today...please keep her in your prayers!! Here are some pictures of the fever blisters that have shown up on the outside of her mouth!! (and a picture of how pitiful she has looked crying)

Chair, Chalk, and OhhhEeeeOhhhEeee!!

This past weekend Tripp, Emma, and I went garage sale-ing with our friend Holly and her 2 kids. We had so much fun and found some great bargins. I found Emma a brand new hot pink Polo sweater with the tags.
Well Saturday night we went out to eat with our friends Randy and Angela and Blair and Eric. After we ate we took a stroll down to the Ashley furniture store....where Emma found a chair that was just her size. Here is her picture in it...

After the Ashley store we trotted on down to Old Navy (who was having a great sale). We were looking at Halloween costumes for Emma and Tripp was trying some on her....here is a picture of her in the monkey costume (which Tripp ruled out because he said it made her look like a boy)...

After Old Navy we went home...we had enough entertainment for one night!

This is a picture of Emma this afternoon drawing with chalk. She had so much fun drawing and then crawling (although she is becoming a proficient walker) through it. She would crawl through it and get to the other side, sit up, look at me, and laugh...becuase she knew she was not suppose to do that!!

These pictures were all taken with my iphone so sorry if they are blurry!
